1. Arrow Quiver:
The compound bow uses a hard arrow rest for inserting arrows. The arrow rest (also called arrow box) is placed on the bow body and is used to hold arrows with blade-shaped arrowheads. Since it is used to hold arrows with arrowheads, the number of arrows placed is relatively small. I seem to have seen 12 arrows at most. The quiver is mainly used to hold arrows with practice arrows. Archery contestants all use quivers.
2. Arrow rest:
The function of the arrow rest is very simple, which is to stabilize the position of the arrow and support the arrow until the arrow is shot out. The arrow rest is an important accessory that affects the accuracy of the bow. There are many types of arrow rests, and choosing a suitable product is very important.
3. Sight:
There are mechanical and optical sights, which are used for aiming. Mechanical pointer type is the most commonly used, and different pointers are designed to allow archers to aim at different distances conveniently.
4. Release:
In the past, people used their fingers to release arrows. Now there are mechanical release devices, which are usually wrapped around the wrist or held in the hand. The head of the release hooks the bowstring, then pulls it open, and then the arrow is released by pressing the trigger with a finger. Arrows released by hand tend to swing in parallel, but arrows released with a release do not have this problem.
5. Shock absorber/stabilizer:
It is installed at the front of the bow to absorb and reduce the energy brought by the vibration of the bow pieces, and also has the function of increasing the stability of the bow weight. The shock absorber/stabilizer used in competitions is very long, while those used for hunting are relatively short.
6. Peep sight:
It is installed on the bowstring, and the archer uses it to see the sight aiming at the target, thus forming a three-point one-line aiming method.
7. Sling:
Now many players push the bow. In order to prevent the bow from falling from the archer's hand after releasing the arrow, the role of the wrist rope is revealed. The wrist rope of a compound bow is usually pressed under the shock absorber.
8. D-loop:
The D-loop is a D-shaped rope loop installed on the bowstring. Its existence facilitates the use of the release device and reduces the damage of the release device to the bowstring. The D-loop is generally made of special nylon rope, and there are also special requirements in the binding method.
