Arrow speed, if you want to maximize your own data parameters, you must choose imported arrows that match your compound bow with the spine, length and weight. This is a must. For extremely high poundage, you need to choose arrows with lower deflection and heavier weight. In fact, the arrow speed is not fast, but it is likely to be slow (due to its heavier weight, it will carry more kinetic energy, and the penetration is relatively high).
Shooting compound bows is to give up some arrow speed and some lethality to ensure that people shoot a lot of arrows under fatigue. Striking compound bows is to increase some arrow speed and lethality, to ensure that the first shot hits the target and makes it lose its ability to move. High arrow speed and high lethality are based on long draw distance, high poundage, and the selection of matching imported arrows. The biggest influence on high arrow speed and high lethality is actually the long draw distance (over 28 inches) given by parents. The arrow speed marked by all manufacturers is the maximum draw distance and highest poundage of the bow design itself, which is the laboratory reference data for shooting uniform and standardized arrows. It is quite different from the actual arrow speed used by oneself. Therefore, it is meaningless for players who do not have a long draw distance of over 28 inches and do not choose imported arrows that match their bows to YY arrow speed (mainly YY is nothing, but the mismatched long draw distance and poundage of over 70 pounds plus shooting more than 50 arrows at a time are likely to cause sports injuries, which is not worth the loss).
So, if you choose a bow with a draw distance that exceeds your correct distance and a very high poundage (over 70 pounds) in order to pursue high lethality and high arrow speed, and want to shoot 30 to 50 arrows in one breath... I just want to say that if you don't want to cripple your body, you'd better take it easy...
Since archery is for entertainment, you can fantasize about it, but you can't blindly choose a bow with a draw distance that exceeds your correct distance and a very high poundage (over 70 pounds) that you can control, and pursue high arrow speed without paying attention to arrow selection and sports injuries, which will hurt your body, right?
(International competition regulations stipulate that the maximum poundage of compound bows shall not exceed 60 pounds. The main reason is not only to limit the equipment of archers to the same starting line, but also to take into account During the normal training, the contestants try to avoid sports injuries under high loads to the greatest extent, and 50-60 pounds also helps the arrow to fly smoothly after leaving the string, making it more accurate)
How high a poundage is enough? 60 pounds is enough for accurate shooting, and 70 pounds is enough for hunting. Too high a poundage will narrow the selection of arrows and the price of arrows will soar. How much arrow speed is enough? In fact, 270fps is already very good (59 pounds for accurate shooting and 29 draw length with matching arrows can reach this speed), but the real reason why many players can't hit 270fps with their bows is not that the poundage is not enough, but that the draw length is too short, which can't hit more than 28 inches. The key factor of arrow speed is the draw length. If the draw length is less than 28 inches, no matter how much the poundage is increased, the improvement of arrow speed is minimal. Blindly going for a high poundage (over 70 pounds), blindly pursuing a long draw distance (beyond your actual draw distance), and using domestic carbon arrows instead of imported arrows that match your bow, will only increase the load on your body and reduce accuracy, and will not help your arrow speed at all.
