Archery is a legal, wild and fashionable sport, and its fans are generally successful businessmen and celebrities. The self-satisfied and self-centered attitude they represent may not be in the sport itself, but a manifestation of status, or even a pursuit of aristocratic spirit. Regarding the safety common sense of archery, many merchants and manufacturers will not introduce it in detail. It is probably because they are afraid that a detailed introduction will scare fans away from playing with bows and arrows. I was also entangled in this issue when publishing this picture and text. I think that archery sports should be better promoted. Safety issues are the first priority!
1. No empty release is strictly prohibited

This is an old question. No bow can be empty released. The definition of empty release is that the bow and arrow are pulled open and then emitted without an arrow. The huge kinetic energy generated by the bow may damage the bow, roller skates, bowstrings, etc.! Some people ask if they are not afraid of empty release every time they take pictures without an arrow. When we want to pull the bow to try, we will slowly retract the bowstring after pulling the bow and arrow, so that there is no harm to the bow. Remember that you cannot fire with your hands or release!
2. Check before archery
Before archery, we need to check our equipment. Although the stability of compound bows has reached a very high standard, compound bows are so powerful that the consequences of mistakes are unimaginable! First, we need to check whether there are any problems with the bow and arrow parts, whether the screws are loose, whether there is any abnormal sound when pulling, and then check whether the release device is normal. You can gently pull the bowstring to check. The most important thing is the arrow. The arrow must be checked for cracks, abnormalities, and damage on the surface. Once damaged, stop using it! The arrow bears the huge kinetic energy of the bow. Once the arrow breaks, it is very dangerous!

3. Don't be cheated by "bad friends"
Don't give the bow to your friends without explaining all the precautions of the bow clearly. A friend came to my house to play and saw my compound bow, so he picked it up to have a look. I was just about to say that it was forbidden to release it in the air, but it was released in the air and the string came off!

4. The archery venue must be safe and appropriate

Many archers who play compound bows are not satisfied with the dozens of meters of archery range in the archery hall, and like to shoot outdoors! You must pay attention to choosing a suitable venue for outdoor archery. Don't go to crowded places because it's unsafe and will cause panic among the public. Don't shoot randomly in places where there is no open space in front. Some archers shoot arrows on the roof. It's terrible to think about it. If an arrow hits someone, it's not a trivial matter! Be sure to pay attention to safety when shooting arrows in the wild!

5. Don't point arrows at people

Many archers like to pull the bow and put the arrow on when shooting arrows, and take pictures with the camera! This way of pretending to be cool is absolutely unacceptable! Remember not to point arrows at people, don't throw them. The compound bow can throw two or three hundred meters, but if the arrow hits someone when you shoot it upward, it's not a trivial matter! So I usually don't put arrows on when I take photos to show off. It's too dangerous!

6. Bow and arrow hunting
Please don't shoot animals

People who play bows and arrows basically want to hunt, but please note that you must not do things like shooting sparrows at an upward angle. Nine out of ten times you will miss, and then the arrow will fly away. It's probably safer to shoot fish! Basically, everything in our country is protected animals, and many of them are illegal, so comrades who want to hunt should keep a low profile.

Everyone must pay attention to the above 6 points. Archery is a legal and wild sport. Don't let the bow and arrow stay away from us just because of your momentary pleasure.
