1. Basic standing posture The basic standing posture for compound bow archery is: the body is upright, chest is held in, back is pulled up, shoulders are folded, abdomen is retracted, the head is naturally turned to the target, eyes are level, and neck muscles are naturally relaxed. You can adopt parallel, exposed or concealed standing methods in combination with the characteristics of your own stability.

Maintaining a correct and consistent standing posture for compound bow archery can clearly realize the unity of man and bow; it is conducive to feeling whether the front and rear symmetrical forces are equal; it is helpful for the control method of linear force.

2. Nocking the arrow

Nocking the arrow with a compound bow: according to different personal habits and different bow handle structures, the arrow tail can be inserted into the arrow head position of the bow string with the arrow head clip close to the bow string first, and the bow string arrow head positioning clip (single screw fixing string clip and double screw fixing string clip) can be used. The arrow tail can be directly inserted into the clip, and then the arrow shaft can be placed on the arrow stand.

Nocking the arrow can also be done by first passing through the center of the bow handle, placing the arrow shaft at the arrow stand position, and then inserting the arrow tail on the arrow head.

When inserting the arrow tail into the bow string arrow head, pay special attention to the placement direction of the arrow feathers. The placement direction of the arrow feathers is determined by the different forms of the arrow rest.

For the open arrow rest of the vertical arrow rest, the main feathers face down, which is convenient for the feathers to pass smoothly;

For the closed arrow rest of the vertical arrow rest, the main feathers face up, which is convenient for the two secondary feathers to pass across the rest;

For the pull-up arrow rest, inertia arrow rest and penetration arrow rest, the direction of the feathers can be ignored, but the direction of the arrow should be kept consistent each time.

3. Releaser hook string

How to use the clamp releaser: hold the trigger with the index finger to open the jaws, align the jaws with the arrow hanging rope (D ring), restore the trigger, and close the jaws.

How to use the clamp releaser with a safety device: open the jaws after pulling the trigger, press the safety, align the jaws with the hanging rope, and clamp the jaws with your fingers.

The method of using hook-type release device and corner-type (some people also call it "back-enhancing") release device: after resetting the hook head, you can directly use the hook head to hang the bowstring arrow mouth hanging rope.

The method of using the release device with hanging rope hook string: first restore the hook head, use your fingers to help the hanging rope pass through the bowstring arrow mouth, fold the hanging rope back or directly hook it on the bowstring at the lower part of the arrow tail, and then put the release device hanging rope back on the release device hook head, lift the release device so that the hanging rope will not fall off.

Fourth, push the bow direction and support force

The correct position of the bow pusher for compound bow archery is: the tiger's mouth is pushed straight into the bow handle, the fish muscle supports, and the more stable, clearer and smaller the contact surface, the better.

The correct force method of the bow pusher arm is: bone support, maximum muscle relaxation. That is, the force point of the bow handle is transferred to the wrist joint through the greater flexor muscle of the bow-pushing hand, and the strength of the wrist and fingers is relaxed. By buckling the elbow, the force is transferred through the forearm to the elbow joint, the upper arm, and finally the shoulder joint, and the bow-pushing force is converted into supporting force by collapsing the shoulder. The magnitude of the supporting force of the bow-pushing arm is the same as that of the bow-pulling arm.
V. Raising and opening the bow
Basic force methods for raising and opening the bow:
1. Push the bow-holding arm horizontally, turn the body and use the back muscles to drive the bow-pulling arm to pull back, until it passes the force reduction point to the stop line, and then adjust the direction of the bow-lifting to convert it to the back muscle force.
2. Push the bow-pushing arm straight and high, and the bow-pulling arm is raised accordingly. Both arms are pressed down and extended backwards, and after passing the force reduction point to the stop line, it is converted to the back muscle force.
3. When drawing a compound bow, you can bend your forearm slightly, hold your breath, and use the explosive force of pulling back and pushing forward with the bow-drawing arm and the bow-holding arm to draw the bow. After passing the force reduction point, reach the stop line, and then adjust the symmetrical force of the front and back.

VI. Front and back symmetrical force control The basic method of symmetrical force control: After drawing the bow, adjust to abdominal breathing, the center of gravity and the alignment direction of the body, the shoulders are bent, the arms are moderately relaxed, and the front and back symmetrical force is maintained through the support of the forearm bones and the strength of the back muscles. The force of the front hand pushing the bow is equal to the force of the back hand release hook string.

The front and back symmetrical control force should be coordinated and moderate. Do not relax too much to produce retraction; do not use too much force to change the relationship of the equipment structure principle. Symmetrical force control is closely related to the correct use of the release.

How to use a wristband release: The symmetrical force should be maintained by moderately hanging the wrist and buckling the elbow, and try not to squeeze the release. In this way, on the one hand, you can experience the clear linear symmetrical force of the front support point and the rear force point; on the other hand, you can also master the method of separating the symmetrical force from the trigger force in a short time.
How to use the hand-held release device: After the bow is in place, you can maintain the grip of the release device, or relax the strength of the back of the hand and fingers, and determine the symmetrical force of the front and back lines without retracting. 7. String positioning After the compound bow is pulled open, on the basis of ensuring that the moderate symmetrical force can be controlled every time, use the back muscles to drive the back elbow and forearm, and use the shoulder joint as the axis to cut the bowstring to the consistent jaw support point every time.
According to the rules, lip ball and nose ball positioning devices can be installed on the bowstring of the compound bow. The string positioning must be clear and consistent, and the weight must be moderate. After the string positioning, the control of the front and back symmetrical linear force cannot be changed.
The manifestation of the large straight line is that the forearm bow push point and the release device hook point, the bow forearm and the back elbow tip are on the same straight line vertically.
The small straight line is the straight line between the forearm pushing bow point and the back hand hanging wrist or hand holding force point acting on the string hook point of the release device.
8. Target aiming The basic method of compound bow target aiming is: adjust breathing, exhale and hold breath evenly, put the sight straight through the bowstring rear window, control the round hole of the bowstring rear window and the outer circle of the sight to the maximum extent, and aim the aiming point in the center of the sight at the target on the basis of maintaining symmetrical force and front view relationship.
The basic steps in the aiming process are: first, hold your breath; second, put your fingers close to and touch the trigger or firing device of the release device; third, keep the symmetrical force of the front and back lines unchanged to avoid distortion and deformation.

The method of precise aiming of compound bow is: after the bow is pulled open, use the forearm support force to use the scope to pre-aim the target (finally aim at the upper position of the target), and after positioning by the string, use the back arm to collapse the shoulder, the front hand, the back hand, and the back elbow (or the force point of the release device) to stably control the symmetrical straight line after the force is reduced, and use the straight line centering method to aim at the target with the center point of the scope to fire.
9. Pull the trigger of the release device or the firing device. After aiming at the target, according to the different release devices, under the premise of separating the symmetrical force of the front support and the force of the trigger finger, bend the finger to pull the trigger or firing device.The method of using the angle release device: on the one hand, continue to implement the change of the release device angle through the back muscles; on the other hand, the release device can be used to release the arrow at an angle by using the index finger to release the force, the middle finger to maintain the lever, and the ring finger and the little finger to increase the force.
It is particularly important to point out that the trigger should not be pulled too hard or slapped. The force of the finger pulling the trigger must be separated from the symmetrical force of maintaining the forward support and the backward pull!
10. Closing position After the arrow leaves the string, the inertial direction of the bow is straight ahead, and the position of the hand holding the release device varies depending on whether the archer uses the large straight line or small straight line method of symmetrical force.
